My favorite zoo I visited was the Honolulu zoo (it's in Hawaii) it was really fun to visit. It was so big that we didnt even see all the exhibits! I really wanted to see the african wild dog exhibit but we didn't have time to (we had other places to go) Peace Love Happiness
I've only been to the NC Zoo, my local zoo, so I'd have to say it was my favorite. (:
I managed to see almost every animal in the zoo last time I went, but I actually collapsed towards the end at the final two exhibits. XD I didn't realize that the African Section and North American section alone was 5 miles of walkway. XD I slept until we got back home.

I've also been to the Honolulu Zoo and I think that it is one of the most underrated zoos in North America. I'm surprised that you said that it was big, since I finished it in 2 hours, so I saw the whole thing twice. When I was there the wild dogs were sleeping, so it was nothing special. The zoo also has one of the most complete African collection in any zoo.

The NC Zoo is also great, hopefully I get to visit that zoo in the near future.

Well later on after we visited the zoo we went to a luau and a lady there said that they were very active, (the african wild dogs) and when we went to the zoo we spent two hours there and we still weren't finished! If you want to see an underrated zoo you'll go visit the one in Virginia! that one was very underrated! we finished the zoo within 2 hours or less! and a lot of exhibits were closed, including the kangaroo exhibit and I really wanted to see them!!! D': oh, and I'm sorry if I acted all mad it's just that I loved the honolulu zoo because it had 2 of my favorite animals there: the ring tailed lemur and the african wild dog and the virginia zoo was definitely NOT the best zoo, one of the animals even got out!! sorry if you thought I was being rude, I apologize if you thought I was Peace Love Happiness

My nearest zoo is the North Carolina Zoo, which I visit once a year. It involves lots of walking due to its sheer size, but the scenery is stunning. They exibit animals from North America and Africa (and until recently, Austrailia). They also carry a few small animals from South America, Europe, and Austrailiasia.
The only other zoo I've been to is the Bronx zoo. It is one of my favorite zoological attraction, though I was only there once.

I go to the Milwaukee County Zoo about 2-3 times a month, and I enjoy every moment there.
Me too! Except I've only been there once, but it's awesome! Especially the Wisconsin River exhibit. The zoos I haven't gone too but want too are the Bronx and San Diego.
