Hello all. You might know me from tesara as Nick Wright. And so while I am working on a project on zt2 that will be here soon, I will post something that I happen to be very proud of. So here it is, my Siberian Tiger. The Siberian Tiger. they walk proudly around their exhibit quite stealthly, they stand with pride. here comes Malay (moh [as in mom] -lie) sneeking up on Bruno, Moly is the greatest female in this exhibit, even actually ranking above our male... this is malay in the back, and bruno in the front. Bruno and Malay are actually brother and sister. TThey grew up and their mother was out on a hunt for her young when she was spot by a poacher. because he was hunting in a reserve he was soon arrested at Malay's death. Sadly the cubs were orphans but thankfully an asian biologest scanning for the bullet for a removal found she was a mother of 3. A few team members from America went on a search for the 3 and soon found paw prints and a gun near a burrow, the cubs lived there. he took all 3 in and they were sent to an animal rehab where only these 2 survived. The news broke that the 2 cubs were also very ill but a statue still stands in the zoo's aqua-seum [which will be shown] and when they became old enough and strong they were sent to our zoo where they grew here. ~AND NOW A FEW PICTURES FROM AROUND THE EXHIBIT~ this is a pond where the tigers relax on a hot sunny day, or slide on over the frozen surface on a brisk winter evening. this is the little privacy area guarded by bamboo where the shade provides a cool structure.
