hey tigerman, the glass roofs are actually all at the same height. You can see that in the picture below. I think in the pictures, when looking up from ground level, the glass roofs over the exhibits look lower than the main roof over the guest area.
Placing the roofs though, is the most difficult thing. Sometimes they want to place and sometimes they don't. I have to try different methods like rotating the view and try placing at different angles, or sometimes rotating the glass roof. Sometimes removing some of the objects below the roof, etc. They can be difficult to work with.
I had to use solid cement roof over the crocodile pools, because the glass roofs would sink lower than the rest of the roof when I put water underneath. Not sure why the solid roof works, because I have had those sink on me too.
Anyway, moving down the hallway, we come to the wetlands exhibit, and the desert exhibit.
Wetlands are home to the Nile Monitors
And the desert exhibit is for the Spurred Tortoise.

He said that your building looks really beautifull. He likes your using of different altitudes. He wants to know which of the 3 he needs. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I really like your building because it is so real!! Reptiles in real zoo's are often placed like you made it here!!

mike, ZTAO,is anorganisation of zoos from wich you can trade animals with, like the EAZA in on environ, but then a bit different. You can find more info about it in the subforum for it. back on topic-this reptile building is so realistic, its really like one you see in real zoos. I especcially like the croc area, it looks so "open" with the glass roofs. Banner+Avatar made by McCamel

Awesome indoor exhibits Mikek, very nice layout. I have one question about the rocks that you have used at the croc exhibit. Did you get them from the superzt forum exclusives? Thank you.

hey everyone, sorry I have been away. I have had computer problems, but everything seems to be fixed now. I'm working on some new stuff, so will be posting pics soon.
Max, the rocks in the croc exhibits (which are the same rocks I used in all of the exhibits) came with the Montane Forest Biome download.
I'm not sure which one I am using in the exhibits because I think I made several different versions of the original found in the download. I just changed the it so I have a couple of different size rocks.

I like the layout of your zoo and you've made great use of the new downloads available.
I keep going back to the photo of the polar bear in the tundra-like exhibit. I agree with you that the grasses add to the reality of their natural habitat and it's great that you've decided to simulate what some actual zoos are doing to make the bears more comfortable in their captivity. If only everyone treated animals with such respect it would be a much better world that we live in! Keep up the great work and please share more of your zoo(s) when you're ready
