Well, after months of planning, designing, construction and landscaping, renovation on the old elephant house is complete and the pygmy hippos will soon move into their new home. Much work has been done on both the indoor and outdoor exhibits. And the hippos are going to have some company. The new exhibits will be home to the pygmy hippos as well as African spot necked otters, Jentink's Duiker and Wolf's quenons.
Over the next several days I will be posting pictures and giving you a tour of the entire exhibit.
For now, here is an overview picture of the completed exhibits.
